Frank's World

DESCRIPTION

This world is pieced together by fragments of Frank’s memories and the array of other characters that play key roles in his daily life. Represented as a collage of these fragments, Frank’s World is an interplay and juxtaposition of many aesthetic styles and graphic tools. In one scene we may see a group of Little Rufuses dancing and splashing around toon soup that pours from a Campbell can. Gazing up at the halftoned sky, we may see a prop plane weaving itself between a cut-paper metropolis. Additionally, the looming presence of engraved toon cliffs and the monstrous winged Frankzilla hovering nearby alluded to additional mythologies and paranoic manifestations that Frank has invented within this imagined world. Frank taps into this world not only as a way to reminisce but also as a mini escape from his dull reality.
